any one have a pic of them on a TR?

i was thinking of them for my car. i saw them on a 71 camaro
and i think i like the dash of new mixed in w/ the old.
how much and where can i get some?

I put them on my car, but I have the cutlass front end w/composite headlights. I install them as part of my job and they are EXPENSIVE:eek: (for a good kit) Like $600 or more w/bulbs. They don't make your car faster and you only use them part of the time, but for me I feel they are well worth the money. I think I might just have trouble seeing at night though. I'll try to get some pics for a comparison at night.

There was a LONG thread on this in the General tech area.. I thought somebody had pictures of the HIDs.. The Silverstars are not cut for DOT as I remember.. they are for straight ahead. Saw pics of those too.. looked awefully bright to me.

Did you get your silverstars off of ebay?? Are you going to run brighter bulbs?? What about wiring upgrades??

no went to kregan to buy the headlights. no need to run wiereing up grades. just plug em right in :)

i love em, they are much better. gives the car a much cleaner look which is what i was goin for.

and i read that whole long thread about it 5 times over and over until i made my decision. :D

If I get the extra money, I may go for the Diamond Stars. I'm not going for HID, that's just over kill and I'm sure the police will be all over that like white on rice.

I am going to upgrade my wiring to my headlights however. I was looking on this website.. can't remember the exact website at the moment... from Daniel Stern about how much lighting is effected by voltage drop. Even for stockers. That's why I was asking if you went for the upgrade. I personally have my doubts about the current system being efficient.

yeah i looked at your pics for a long time before deciding to buy silverstars, but i didnt know that those WERE NOT silverstars on your GN. my TR's silverstars are almost as bright as your GN's HIDs. ALMOST, not as blue tho.
