is there a way to remove hard block from a block. the block is half filled and wanted to know if it was all right to run it in a street appplication

its should run ok on the street, get a big oil cooler, and that stuff is in there for good, it would take an act of god to get it out.

I have a Stage motor in a customers car that has hard block treatment to about the middle of the freeze plugs with no heating problems. I too was concerned with this at first but so far so good.

Typically, it's really only the top 1.5-2" or so that needs to be open.

FWIW, I'd check the block real close to make sure that it wasn't used for some sort of repair.
