I pulled the car out of storage, ran well, then a few days later noticed a hard pedal and brake light.

I swapped the brake switch with no luck. also the accumulator is only 2 years old.

One thing i did find is that the "lps panel" fuse is shorted out. i pulled the fuse and both sides of the fuse has a short in it.

any chance these could be related?

i'll have to trace down the short, any ideas where to look?

does anyone know where i can find an electrical diagram?

thanks

Hydroboost conversion

They blow fuses becausethe motor is shorting out. It's a dead player now, and not rebuildable. They either wear out the vanes, or the seal between the pump and the winding is letting brake fluid enter the windings. The hydroboost runs of of the P/S pump, and needs no vacuum, nor 12v vacuum pumps. The vacuum pumps usually last 6 months. The Hydroboost can last up to 200,000 miles, and then it is rebuildable, with a replaceable master.
