Has the GN BEEN OVERSHADOWED

Chris, you would be surprised at the values of Cobras coming down now, I guess due to the new GT500 coming out. I looked online at hundreds of them, then bought one. It is turning out to be a great open track car At this point in time a 50k mile GN and 2003 Cobra are similar in purchase price if the TRs are pushing $20,000.

$20K is about the bottom for an '03-04 Cobra, like $5K was the bottom for TR's in the 90's (right after people pay them off) and then they started to go back up when people realized they were so cheap (and were still faster than the cars people replaced them with).

There are too many lesser Cobra's out there and low number of 03-04's built will keep the value high.

If there was a chance '03-04 Cobras will ever be $12-16K, I'm not seeing it. It would be cool, but I'm not seeing it happen.

They are just now starting to break under $20,000 for 03 Cobras over 50,000 miles, usually ones with 70 to 80k mile. Mine had a few grand in suspension mods, and you can buy similar with performance mods for low 20s easily. Check out svtperformance.com in their market area. I'll have to wait to see if the prices will stabilize or slightly increase, but I agree with you that I don't think they'll drop to 15. I paid 21 for mine.

Everytime I drive my GN I get lots of attention from young to old. Some want to look and others want to race. Cobras, Vipers and others get looks but nothing like I get in my old Black Car. It's an icon of performance, a real Legend. I also agree with Patrick, if Vader drove a car it would be a GRAND NATIONAL. Long live the King.
