My altenator went so i got a new and got it off but i cant line up the holes once the belt is on...Do I have to take any other pulleys off in order to get it back on? Thanks

Alt. install

Make sure the new one looks just like the old one! Hope you didn't already give them the core.

Um, if I'm reading this right you are trying to put the alternator on with the belt already in place? You have to first put it on without the belt and then route the belt and pull the tensioner put the belt the rest of the way on, and let go of the tensioner.

Put an 18mm wrench on the bolt and pull up (from passenger side of car) It's spring loaded! Thats the last thing to do ( to get the belt on) Did the alternator fit?

the belt tensioner wont move and the pulley popped off and i cant get it back on...
