HD Radio! Is it worth getting it? And port hole ?????

My Head Unit's pre amps out put took a dump and I am looking for a new HU
I hear a lot about HD radio. What do you guys think about it?

Also I have to two “free air” Pioneer 6X9 on the rear deck and a 10” Bazooka in the trunk.
I was thinking of cutting in two 1 ½ port holes into the rear deck to help the bass get into the passenger compartment from the Bazooka . What do you guys think about this?

There are very few stations that broadcast in HD. Sirius or XM would be a better alternative.

for the bazooka tube i would just take the pad of the back seat.if your going to cut the deck lid you might as well build you a 4th order box ported into the deck that way all the bass and spl os in the car not the trunk

2nd on removing the pad from behind the seat. Move the Bazooka tube around in the trunk and see where it sounds the best to you.
