I spent the day taking out the engine (tranny was already out) and then I removed the driver's side head. Huge gap where the 1007 fire ring used to be across the bottom. No wonder it was so noisy. :D

The ductile iron cam (econo roller....lol )after slightly over 1000 miles and a few street passes and 8 passes at Vegas looks perfect. Louie L. I thought you'd like to know.

And the cylinder and exhaust header looks rich so perhaps it was a little rich detonation that caused the gasket problem.

I'm trying to teach myself not to crank up the boost 10 turns at the same time....and I succeeded in Vegas ... only cranking on it in little increments. However I still have to learn when to stop cranking. :)

STOP CRANKING IT OR YOU'LL GO BLIND

SORRY TO HEAR THAT. WHY WAS THE TRANS OUT? LEN

No Len, the tranny is still as perfect as you put it together. :)

I had to send the 9/11 back to Art last week. Remember it wouldn't stall past 2800?
