Ok guys, need diagnosing help: '87 GN. Engine rebuilt and installed with new headers but
1. they leak past gasket (initially bolt holes did not align so slight burred made). Stock headers put back on without leak, NOW:
2. Ticking/knocking sound thought to be from engine. Pan removed and rods etc inspected and all is sound.
3. Mechanic stethoscope used and thumping loudest at downpipe from turbo. Turbo to be replaced and will see and update. Thanks.
BTW: I hope the well known online site I went through to get these headers work with me on resolving the issue.
