got a used header panel for my 87 gn and the studs that are in the back of it are bent where it mounts to the bracket that mounts to the core support.can i just use vice grips and try to take the straight ones out of my old one and screw them into this one??one is missing already and it looks like its threaded but it also looks like theres some type of loctite or glue that also holds the studs in,is this correct?? tia, nick

Yeah, I'd pull out the good ones from your old panel and glue them into the replacement. Use some kind of epoxy to hold them in place.

Don't use visegrips on the one's you are going to reuse! thread two nuts on the stud and lock them together and back the studs out

i was just going to use vise grips on the long studs that bolt from the headlight buckets to the core support where theres no threads.im not a complete retard
