headliner removal ??

i have a hard top gn,was wondering how to get the side metal peices and front and back off without bending the metal.thanks kevin

To remove the side pieces sit in the car with feet out on ground looking out: grab the side trim piece pull in towards you and the inner part of the clips should let go.Then when you feel the clips releasing pull down slightly and push outward and the clips should release.The back trim piece should pull straight down. Those clips can be a pain.Just keep trying to work it free.Its not uncommon to break a clip.As for the front if you can pull it down just enough that its not real tight to the headliner.You may not have to remove the front trim.You can slide headliner out.Then when you reinstall the headliner slide the front part in and the trim will help hold it up.When your done you'll be an expert on interior removal and installation.Seat bolts can be a pain also.
