Does anyone know a good shop that repairs saggy headliners? The Camaro I'm going to be getting has a headliner that is drooping down in some areas.
Can anyone recommend a good shop that'll fix this problem? Any guesstimates onhow much $$$ is needed to fix something like this? Any insight appreciated.:D Thanks!

Ricky's custom upholstery
2001 C Kahai st.
Honolulu, Hawaii 96819

He just reciently did my GN (I removed it and brought it to him), he did a nice job and I would reccomend him, he's the only guys that I know that stiches the headliner, so he "claims" it won't ever fall down again. He gave me a deal at $75 for the headliner and the two visors.

Thanks, Jackson...

$75 sounds like a good deal.
Where is Kahai St. located?
I didn't know you could "remove" the headliner and take it with you. How do you do this? BTW, this isn't for my GN, it's for the Camaro. Thanks again!

My GN was done at Golden Uphostery on Kawaihao St. :) Drop off in the morning, pick up in the evening. The guy there did my headliner and visors, as well as a tear on the back seat. He also did the seat for my lawn mower engine powered mini bike. :p

David at Golden is also cheap and do excellent work, he did my seats on my T and some furniture work is a friend of a friend. I was going to take it to him first but liked the idea that Ricky's stitch the headliner. If anyone want to see my headliner I installed it back on my car

Geoff,

How much did you pay for your headliner job? I was contemplating taking mine off and taking it down to the shop like Jackson, but I'm leaning more towards giving them the entire job.
Jackson, how much would you guess Ricky would charge if the liner was still in the car?
I'm picking up the Camaro this week, and I'm thinking about doing the headliner next week. Thanks for the recommendations, guys. I'll be sure to call those guys up.

Steve-

Let me check tonight when I get back home. Keep in mind that I had this done a few years ago, and that it was for the headliner, visors and seat. :)

Messy Headliner Change

Headliner comes out pretty easily, and is simply a styrofoam type board with cloth glued to it. Only mess is the dried foam/fuzz between the cloth and the board. If you pull off the cloth, you'll need to gently rub down the board with light sandpaper to prep it for a new cloth.

The glue, however can be quite messy. I used R.J. Ackaway Performance High-Temp Trim Adheasive. Sprays on like a spider-web and STICKS, but requires a clear area with NO WIND!

Steve,

Ricky's did a great job on mine. I took my car down and left it with him. He's someone you can trust.

Thanks everyone for all the "referrals".:D Right now, I'll probably call those on the list to see their current prices. Also, if they don't charge me too much extra, I may leave the car with them so they can pull down the headliner. I'll look more into that this weekend sometime.
Once again, thanks to everyone who replied for your input.!
