Are as-cast GN1's a decent match for the Full Throttle 215/220 XR3 hydraulic roller cam?

3.4" steel crank w/ K1 rods. Spent some $$ balancing this.
Ported stock intake.
GT6776R turbo. T/A headers.
I've been running a 210/210 roller and ported irons with very good results. Want to push it harder... also realize that I may need to loosen up the torque converter a little with the new cam.
Basically wondering if I should have the heads ported and step up to a Champion race intake, or just save that idea for a stroker motor.
