Heater Box Delete Kits?

A buddy of mine told me about a part that use to be sold, years ago. He said it was a kit that shortened the length of the heater box on our cars. Basically you can keep your A/C & heater plus access rear head bolts easliy. Have any of you heard of or remember these? Or know of anyone who still has these kits? Thanks

atr sold a kit with a modified heater core and you could cut away the a/c box near the head and they also a shaped plate to cover the hole you would make .
it was made for running stage2 heads but worked for studded motors as well

someone wanted to bring these back but the problem was the customized heater core just was too expensive considering how small the market is

if you run studs with the allen head in them you can still change headgaskets on a studded motor in the car and keep your A/C because its easy to spin out the studs , you can also pull the a/c metal shield for more room

i am looking for the same thing.. i had heard that there was a heather core that we could put in the dash... anyone know??

Thanks pacecarta, I was more interested in why someone could not bring them back and if someone had brought them back, who? Oh yea I remember ATR, probably still have a few of there catalogs somewhere in my attic.

Does anybody have an image of the old ATR setup that modified the stock heater box? I want to see where the box was cut.
