Help! engine has No Power

I have just finished over hauling my engine. Fired up right away and idles fine. It also reves fine without any misfire or hesitation. But when I put in it gear the car has no power at all. When I step on the gas it hardly moves and then the engine dies. The trans is good. No black or white smoke. Please Help. Any ideas?????

Do you have a scan tool? that would help a lot. Maf sensor? Voltage problems? Grounds? etc.

Does the engine die?

The car won't move reguardless of what gear/reverse?

Can you hear the U-Joints tight up when the car is put in gear?

Does the car have a vacuum/boost gauge? Whats the vacuum reading at idle, in Park and in gear?

Might be a transmission issue.

Tranny fluid level good? Triple check it. Torque converter bolted to flywheel?

Thank you guys for your help. I checked the spark plugs and readjusted them. The car runs better now but still lacks power. I could hear the turbo spooling but the car moves slowly. The check engine light does not come on when the engine is idling.
My tranny is just rebuilt, 0 miles. Could this be my problem????

Also, I did not connect the Speedo cable because it was broken-awaiting replacement from the dealer. Would this affect the performance of my car??

If everything work fine before the tranny was worked on and now it doesn't, I would suspect there is a problem with the tranny.

I don't know zip about them, but there is a sensor down there somewhere.
