Ok I have no idea what happened but i recently put an electric cooling fan on my 85 GN and did away with the clutch fan. Since then it seems as though the car idles very rough for the first 2-3 minutes upon startup and after it is drove for awhile and gets warm it doesnt want to start. It will fire then die. Usually after a good 7-8 tries it will start up, idle extremely rough then smooth out. What could this possibly be? All i did was changed fans. Anyone help. All comments welcome.

hard start hot

Hi!
Wow, this is a tough one.Does the car start normally when cold? I have a hunch you are looking at a situation where you have too much fuel, takes a spin or two to clear the cylinders. The question is,why is it overfueling? If you have a scanner, hook it up. Please give a breakdown on what's going on.

It will start right up when cold but idles rougher than before. I dont have any kind of scan tool to use so i cant help there. The only thing changed on this car is air filter and a RJC boost controller which were changed a few months ago but it ran fine after those changes. This just started happening the night i installed my electric fan and did away with the clutch fan. Im totally baffled on this.

You might want to double check your wiring connections that you worked on when adding the fan just to make sure that they are not grounding somewhere.
Next, when the engine is warm, put the accelerator to the floor and try and start it. If it does start, it could be a sign of your engine flooding out, which might indicate a stuck injector or two. Hope this helps.
