Help No Reverse !!!!!!

Help guys, at first my trans was making a whining sound sounded like maybe the front pump, but it still was shifting ok. Took it out for a spin yesterday got on it kind of hard and now I have no reverse only forward gears even in reverse it goes forward and slips if I dont creep into it. Can someone help me with this problem?

Looks as if your low-reverse clutch pack has failed. Another quick test to be 100% sure is to roll along in manual second gear about 15-20 mph and pull the shifter into manual low gear.

The transmission should, decelerate the car when it downshifts to first. If you don't notice the downshift, your low-reverse clutch pack is indeed shot. And yes, that means overhaul time.
