Help somthing wrong with tranny!!!!

Check it out its late ant night and this just happened right now. I stepped on the gas and then i got this big burst of power from the car and then the car just didnt want to move. i was still in gear and the car would move at about 4mph at 4000rpm. Now ill try to boost up and nothing. it still shifts into park but once i put it in drive and give it gas nothing it moves like a snail. help im stuck at my friends house and need to get home. ill never get home going 4mph.

You could try resetting the TV cable. Push the D retainer in and notch the cable back toward the firewall as far as possible, releasing the D retainer afterward. Then with engine off, key off, mat the gas pedal as firmly to the floor as possible. See what happens when you drive it. *Fingers crossed*
