help my turbo got cherry red after street race:(. i think my turbo fried not as much boost as it had before what to do???
but youl have to know i kicked his A** big time by three car links!!!!

If you have a Hot-Air car then that is pretty normal..after a pass in my car The exhaust side of my turbo tends to "shed some light" I would think that it is fine..as long as the turbo isnt melted (I cant see that happening)

and about the "less boost" issue...maybe its in your head, and you are not putting your foot down to the floor...let the car cool down, and later on take it for a spin!

I dont think you can fry a turbo!

true after a run if i was pushing it real hard i could glow the turbo andheaders to the point when i pulled into the lot which was dark and cut out the headlights you could see glowwing on the parking lot....happened every time i ran mine hard . but that time i had just made 7 back to back passes full 1/4 mile at 22# on stock turbo

They always have a little glow after a 1/4 run. Just make sure you run the car at idle for a few minutes to let it cool a bit.

I had a high speed chase across town a long time ago and when I popped the hood the turbo, uppipe, and headers lit up the whole engine compartment. The turbo looked like it was see-through. It took about 15 minutes of idling for it to stop glowing.

Hey, this is cool! I can't wait to get my car running, so I can make the turbo glow!

Damn! Me neither. Im going to burn up some rubber at the industrial park, and then snap some photos :)

that'll certainly freak my friends out because they either don't give a damn about cars, or they are european freaks.
