Help with 86 needed

What does it take to be able to remove the vinal top on an 86 regal? I want to make it a painted roof. I bought my kid an 86 with the half top and he hates it. (it needs replaced anyway) I thought it was to get glass for the back 3 windows. If its that easy who has glass close to me I can get with all the trim and such?

Most likely your find rust under the top that will need to been cleaned up. The qt windows and rear window trim are different. You will have to weld in studs for the clips that go around the rear window channel so that you'll have a way to clip on window trim molding. The lower molding around the padded top has studs that will have to be removed. Oh yea....top will have to be painted.
