help with DFI/labtop Software

I just recently purchased a labtop computer(toshiba 405). I need to know what i need to communcate with my DFI. I already have the translater harness. Right now it's not communicating.

Call ACCEL and get the DFI program, it is free from them. You need to install the program on your laptop.

It is pretty straight forward. Remember you are using a DOS based program so you may have to dust off the DOS book in the closet.

Make sure you have the program "looking" for data off of the correct port on the laptop.

When you hook up the laptop, if it just sits at trying to communicate with ECU, make sure your com2 port is available and open in device manager on your computer.
Also if you want boot into DOS mode, it will give you screen c:\windows
insert your floppy calmap disc into the floppy drive
then type a:\
should bring up a:\CALMAP>
then after the word CALMAP> type this in calmap com2 )
so it should read like this a:\CALMAP>calmap com2 )
when ACCELL screen comes up hit edit ECU should work.
