help with these vacuum hoses

Hey guys,

Ive attached a picture of this sensor that has two hose tips but no hoses attached to it, any helpand would this cause car to smoke from exhaust.

That is the wastegate solenoid. As long a there is a hose going from the turbo compressor housing to the actuator, you are fine. Smoking can be from valve seals, ring seal, or turbo. Pull the downpipe and check for a wet turbine wheel. Check for excessive play in the turbo too.
