I'M NOT YELLING! Ask yourself these questions.
1)When asking for tech. advice;do you believe that a person with a low post count knows what he's talking about? or a person with a higher count may know a little more.
2)Whould you feel more at ease buying a used turbo(or any part) from someone with a count of 10 posts or 300?
All I'm saying is that in this day and age with internet dirtbags;wouldn't you feel better getting advice or parts from someone that's been around these cars for awhile and has a significant # of posts.I know I would be very hesitant in sending $$$ to someone across the country that I may never bump into;who has a low post count. This my opinion of this topic.
Wow. Well, you were yelling. Or you fixed your CAPS lock key.
Do you really equate the people with a lot of posts to be the most knowledgeable???
That's like saying the people that are the smartest in the world have the most money. Simply not true.
As a matter of fact, most of the REALLY car smart people on this board have LOW post counts. They don't get into petty bickering flame wars, or the "Ive dated a girl for 2 weeks and she dumped me" threads, which tend to up post counts.
They are also most likely working during the day (in auto shops) which makes it hard to be typing on a computer racking up posts.
If you want to know who the smarties are, watch the tech forums, not the lounge. See how they posts.
As far as buying stuff from someone, post count does have something to do with it. I personally like to check how long they have been a member. A leopard cannot hide his spots for a long time - time, not the number of posts, usually flushes out the loosers.
Not flaming you, just sharing my long time (and low post) experience on the board here.
