HEY LEO, What new after running 10.77

Well, Bowling Green was a history making event (10.77 in a HOT AIR). I am curious to know if you have made any changes since. I also would like to know if you and Dewayne are going to make 3 inch downpipes and crossover kits again. I got a chance to see your work of art , in person, and I was amazed. I must say that you have proven parts, that plain work I wonder how the Turbomotion Hot Air intake would work with your combo. At your power level, you would probably run in the 9.90's with the Turbomotion Intercooled kit. How about a Hot Air Combo update!

hey lee,how's that pump holding up with the methanol?i've got my smc kit up and running using denatured,but i'd sure like to use methanol.

I assume you are talking about the Ford external pump I have mounted on the inner fender. SO FAR SO GOOD. Regardless of what some people say, these are not designed for straight methanol. I am using a little more lube than called for. Also when I am not going to the track for a while, like now, I pour staight lube in the tank, with a little methanol, and run it, by switching across the hobbs switch. I am driving my car until it cool down a little. Don/t drive it a lot, so I am really mostly using it for racing. I am pretty sure it would hold up ok with alky and water.

What do you use for lube. I run a 50/50 mix sometimes heavier on alky side, but I am not sure you can use lube when you mix with water.

I don/t use a mixture---straight methanol--with Klotz Super TechniPlate--2-stroke Racing Synthetic with 20% Castor Oil. Can be had at motorcycle shops. One quart will do 55 gal of methanol. I use a dropper and put enough drops in until it starts to turn pink. Probably more than enough, but maybe it will help my pump, lines and solenoids last longer. It goes for around $9 per Quart. I talked to some bracket racer who run methanol. They claim WD-40 and Marvel Mystery Oil will not mix with methanol.
