What’s the purpose of the Hobbs switch?

Boost activated switch. Many different ones that trigger at different boost levels. Can activate the little boost dash lights on a factory digital dash car (no gauge just a yellow and red light) or can be wired to trigger a second fuel pump on a modified car. I’m sure there are a lot more ways to use one but that’s the 2 most popular.

Yep exactly what I have for my stsge car, at 4 psi of boost it turns on my second a1000 pump
