hello everybody
im new to your forum but have many questions first what is that hole on the opposite side of the pvc valve on the other side of the intake manifold and what do i do with it. Should i put a breather there or just close it off thanks ofr the help

That hole needs a grommet (which is a different size then the PCV one) and then you run your turbo's oil drain tube to that hole.

thanks i wasnt to sure cause when i bought the car from the original owner it had nothing thanks again

 No prob............this forum is awesome for getting answers to all your questions.........lots of experts on hot airs here. They have helped me out a lot, as you can see from my post count....;)

ok im lookin at it now and this oil drain line comin from the turbo is like the metal one that goes to the egr the new turbo came with a gasket for where this hooks up so im assuming thats what it is the motor is out of the car and all of the vacum lines were hooked up wrong which im hearing everybody who buys it from someone who doesnt know much about these cars has this problem so im slowly putting everything back together and i want this car to run right

Yes, the stock oil drain tube is the same material that is used for the EGR. There should be a gasket(the one you got with you new one?) for the back of the turbo where the tube hooks up and then the tube just pushes into the rubber grommet on you intake. The stock 84/85 oil drain tube is a pain to get back in....86/87 drain tube is suppose to be easier to use on our cars.

Have you check out the sticky in this forum for the correct way to run your vacumm lines? If you need any little parts for you vacumm system let me know........I dont use any of that stuff anymore with my setup.

Heya Boosted...Where are you located in NJ? I am up north, but if you need any help, feel free to call me or stop by. My twin brother and I are currently building race/show hot air GN's and we are usually good for info and all that. my email is racemybuick@yahoo.com, email me and I can give ya my cell number if you need anything... Call it anytime before 10 pm... after that it is off and I am asleep!

As per your intake, that hole on the back is for the flexible tin pipe (just like the EGR Pipe. Make sure that the pipe has NO holes in it what-so-ever, otherwise, you'll loose another turbo. The grommet can be found in Pep Boys, or Advance Auto, or even Auto zone. Take the tin pipe with you if you can, and make sure the hole is big enough, because there are a few options out there that look real close, but dont work.

As per the turbo going back on, if you havent done so already, it is not too hard, but easier with two people. I found it real easy to stand inside the hood basically on the fender wells or where ever my feet fit, and drop the turbo in slowly...if you straighten out the tin pipe when it is attached to the turbo, you can line it up with the hole first, then drop the turbo in. I did this three or four times already, so I am getting pretty good at it! lol...good luck!

im from middlesex thanks that explains alot that line was never hooked up on my car which explains why the old turbo is shot no i didnt assemble any of the motor yet im still ordering parts and need a trans im ordering a stage 2 trans with a 2800 stall converter is that a good setup cause i heard 2004rs are weak trannys the guy from poston told me that i could pull 20 psi from the stock turbo with my setup and recommmended 30pph injectors but i swapped them back for 36pph cause i figured with all the work im doin to it id rather run rich than lean id rather be safe than sorry and would u happen to know the stock size of the turbo also thanks again
