holley fuel regulator POS???

i installed an adj.holley fuel regulator i had tonite and i attached a FP guage. 43 psi line off. i took it to boost around 5 psi only and the fuel pressure didnt budge. is the holley regulator just a POS or should it work? there is a hole in the top of the adjustment screw and thats the only place to hook up a vacuum line so i hooked it there. anyone have experience w/this regulator? holley's website's PN matches the one on the regulator and its looks like an all steel version of a stock one, not the steel topped ones ive seen. any suggestions please???

guy local to here just bought one like yours (holley) and its sucking fuel thru the top...... brand new its no good

maybe ill put my stock one back on. it still had good fuel pressure when i tested it.

I'd turn the regulator upside down and screw the adjuster out to see how they're feeding vacuum to the diaphram of that regulator.You might find your problem.

i took it out tonite and put the stock one in. do you take the adjustment screw all the way out and what am i looking for?

Just unwind the adjusting screw all the way out.If it's done anything like the sneaky stock adjustables,that hole through the screw should go through to the diaphragm area with no restriction.
