Looking for a stock type insulator, or something custom. Buick does not sell the insulater with the logo on it anymore.

I've got a NOS/NIB GM hood insulator, with the Turbo Six logo. I'm watching one that ends in two days on eBay to see what they're bringing. Being an "oversize" item (to UPS): shipping will be a tad salty too. I could be wrong, but: I believe the last ones I watched brought around $325-$350. Anyone out there been watching these(correct me if I'm wrong)?

Keep in mind UPS will 90% destroy it. I know 5 people that tryed to ship these and they were all damaged when they got there. I got one off a board member and it came with a nice ding in the corner. You might want to keep it or do a local sale. Also keep in mind it's only a matter of time someone is going to repro it or buy the GM ones and have them screened. Once that happens the price will drop to nothing again.

Funny: I got mine via UPS, and it's perfect. That's what insurance is for anyway. As long as it's in the original shipping container- they'd have to cover any damage. There are too many folks out there, conscientious about OEM parts, for the price to ever drop to zip.

and that part carries a list of 130 bucks so your up sheets creek on a claim

and then try to collect that money from UPS. Not gonna happen. You are the only one I know that had one shipped and it made it in one piece.

Dont need an original that bad used to buy them for $75. I would like to find a custom one, I have seen them before.

insulator

Seems like SE Turbo used to sell some nice custom ones ....... give 'em a try.

Tried to upload a picture of my old one for you but the pic is to big I guess. E-mail me at jretrodude@aol.com and I can send you a picture through e-mail if still interested. Thanks Josh. :)

I got lucky and bought an 85 hoodliner shipped UPS and it is perfect. This hoodliner is ten times more rare than an 87. The secret is the person who packages the hoodliner rather tha UPS. My 2 cents. Brad

Gorilla-proofing the item is ALWAYS the key to safe delivery ;) .
