Hood latch cable replacement, firewall location

I am replacing my hood latch cable assembly. The original pull broke from the cable and a friend removed the cable from the firewall. Having trouble locating the firewall location. Anyone have a picture or diagram with firewall location. Thanks in advance.

Idea.. Put a trouble light in the engine compartment, and look for the hole under the dash?
I'll look at my car, as the ft end is off, and post a location.

The hood latch cable is located behind the plastic wheel well on the left side

Light in the engine compartment didn't work. Didn't see any light. Seeing the image helps. I do see the line under the arrow in the firewall so I now have a reference point. That is really high! I will try and get pics and post up.

Light in the interior did work! Picture attached, thank you. The hood latch cable in the firewall is really far left from inside the cabin. Cable is through the firewall!
