hooker exhaust and pitbull mufflers

ok just wondering if its possible to replace my mufflers with the pitbull ones
I heard they are almost straight through which is why I am asking
would it be worth the change and is the change physically possible to fit them in place?

I have the Hooker exhaust and repaced the turbo mufflers with Ultra-Flo's. I used offset inlet and center outlet configuration just as the Hooker muffs are. What a difference! You can hear the turbo through the exhaust even when just putting around town.

have you felt like you picked up any improvement on performance?


does anyone else know if the pitbulls can be used as well or would they be in the way of the driveshaft?

Pitbull mufflers are a straight through design with center inlet and outlet. The Hooker system is designed to work with mufflers with offset inlet/outlets, so the Pitbulls do not work with them. You need a different muffler.

where can I get a set of the ultraflows?

also by getting them is it worth the price with performance or just stay as I am?

My car picked up with them. It was noticably faster with the Ultra-Flo's. You should do it

are u talkin welded ultra flows? Thats what I have and they are way cheaper then the stainless 'regulator' ultroflows... are straight thru too, have em on my hooker system too

Then I stand corrected. Generally speaking those mufflers are not compatible with that cat back system.

Hooker Max Flo are straight thru and will fit right in. I swapped from Hooker turbo muffs to Max Flows from Hooker. Perfect fit.

Summit and Jeg's or any auto parts that sells Hooker Exhaust. Barnett Racing out of Atlanta maybe, That is where I bought my Hooker System.
Oh Yea, these mufflers are center on one end and offset on the other and they do fit perfect. I believe they are 4.5x10.5 oval and 14 " long body and 19" overall length. Diminsions may not be exact but close. Going by memory.
