What's needed to run the Hooker 2½" exhaust w/ test pipe on a stock 84 GN? Do I just need to get the 86/87 trans hanger for the bigger oval flange? How about the four bolt flange at the downpipe?

Summit lists the Hooker for 85/87. Did 85's already have the big mouth converter?

I am getting the hooker for my 84 too!Yes it will need to be modified.Or do like I am going to do.Since I made my own Cat.elimination pipe,I will just make a different one so the hooker bolts right to it.Hanger shouldn't be too hard to make either.:D

I have an 85GN and bought the hooker exhaust systm, Hi flow CAT along with new exhaust headers from Poston. This system is set for the 86-87 GN setup. Their is only a modification which requires a muffler shop weld so that it will connect. The bolt on a dapters on the frame near the rear wheels is easy. The new set-up ( the stock passenger side exhaust header has to be replaced)
makes alot of difference on performance.
Call Poston at 800-635-9781 and they will explain the only modification. Good Luck- Brad
