So, I have been thinking;
Let's liven' up this place and discuss HA specific cams. :eek:

I aware of many of the available camshafts out there for TR's, but wanted to start a mature and informative technical discussion for a Hot Air specific cam. :eek:
Why? Because I belief there "may" be a different requirement.
Sure, the 206/212, 212/218, etc. cams work very well, but are these optimized for a non-IC'd car?
This can all be theory with some kind of logical explanation.

Here we go ............. :biggrin:
Let's just say you are shooting for 105-110mph, full weight car, shifting at 5200 rpm, 20 PSI boost.
The heads flow 200 / 175 CFM @ 28"H2O, Stock rockers, and other supporting mods.

Ass-U-Ming intake/exhaust lift is the same, what type of "split duration cam" would you install, if any?

1 - More intake duration
2 - More exhaust duration
3 - Same duration

Edit:
Before you "go off", remember the 86/87 specs are listed on Quick Reference Page For the '86/'87 Turbo Regals and '89 Turbo T/A as;
Advertised Duration : 258/262
Duration at .050" lift : 192/196
Lift .384/.408
Lobe Separation 107 degrees
Overlap 38 degrees
