I have owned my WE4 only for about a month now. how can I tell if my fuel pump has a hot wire kit on it ?

Look on the back of the alternater. Are there two wires connected to it. One to the battery and one goes to the starter. the one to the starter usually goes to a fuse on the fender well by the relays.

b231v6,
thanks for the reply.
So is this what the stock setup looks like and if it is hot wired it will have something different than this?
Jeff

If the hotwire was done properly, then there will be an additional wire connected to the alternator post. Hopefully that wire will first go to a fuse, then to an additional relay. Some people place the relay on the drivers side inner fender (stock has 3 relays there), so there might be a 4th. I don't know how the "kits" do it, tho.

I don't know what the he++ I was typing. One wire goes to the battery and one goes to the PUMP,PUMP,that's the PUMP.Via a 30 amp fuse on the drivers side fender well by the relay for the fan. How did I get the starter confused with the pump i'll never know. Sorry.
