How can i find out what kind of cam i have???

Alright... so the car was origianaly my dad's, he had the motor built a couple years back and lost the build sheet and cant remember anything about the cam besides "its a race cam!" as he says. Now that i have the car i want to get a turbo tweak chip, and it would be nice to know what kind i have. What would be the best way to find out the profile and type?
