how do i bypass the VOLT light in the dash??

heys guys i am having some probs with the wiring going ot the volt light and as a result my alterantor is not charging my battery at all. i see some people have bypassed the volt light and im curious as to how. i want to know waht i will need, how to do it, where to get the stuf, and specifics on hooking it up. any in this area would be great help, thanks

ok i posted it in my other thread but i wired it all up and the battery still dies on me before. what did i do wrong is the resistor right? is there a wrong way to do this? please read the previous thread for the whole story. thanks
