How do I Disconnect the Stock Alarm?

For some odd reason, my stock alarm will activate itself. I then get stuck playing around trying to figure out how to deactivate it. Sometimes I can deactivate it right away, other times I have to play around.
Does anyone know how I can permanently disconnect it?

I had the same problem with mine...I'll look in the book tomorrow, there is a wire that can be cut easily under the dash that goes to the VTD module.

mine came to life and would not turn off after 7 years of dormacy. lol
Anyway.. There is a control module under the dash and all ya have to do is to disconnect it. No need to cut any wires to permately disable it..
The module is up by the emergency brake ratchet if I remember correctly. Its a connector with about 6 terminals on it. All ya have to do is pull off the connector and it will never work again.
