how do i take a pressure test???

ok guys how do i go about taking a presure test on my tranny? i have access to a guage and i want to get some numbers to see what is up with the trans. ok after hooking the guage up wiht hte car cold do i put the car in each gear while stopped and take down thise numbers? then do i strap the guage to the window and take some WOT throttle blasts cold and then hot? lead me the way im doing this thursday when i get home from work, thanks

ok i got the numbers and stuf but being the first time ever doing this im a little lost still. now i have the rpms at 1000 for hte minimum?? and for the maximum im still at 1000rpms i just yank the tranny TV cable all the way out while its still in gear? do i ever have to drive the car around at all? or does the car stay oin one spot and i just manula go through the gears?? im still a little lost, thanks for the help

All checks are done parked @1000 rpm, for min. run thru each gear and write the #'s down, shut it off, pin the TV cable all the way out and do the same for max.

ok so i leave the car off while doing the max tv cable?? you said to shut the car off ten pull the cable out?? if i do that do i turn the car back on after pulling it out? im still lost as to how im supposed to od the full WOT test. thanks for the help i just want ot mkae sure i get the right numbers. thanks

yes after you pin the tv cable you start it and do the same thing.
