I am trying to plan out where to go with my mods.
I have an 87WE4.
So far it has
stock turbo
237 Fuel Pressure Regulator
Walbro 307 fuel Pump.
Fuel Pump HotWire.
Boost Gauge.
Adjustable Wastegate.
Turbo Link.
Right now I have an old kenny bell chip.
It has the stock injectors.
I am going to wait to get a custom chip untill I upgrade the injectors.
This summer I have a list of Mods I am planning, injectors, 3"DP, posi, maby alky injection.
I don't currently have a set goal as to how fast I want to go.
I think I want to try to get the car into the mid 12's and then once I am there I will see what I want to do.
So my question is, how fast can you go with the stock DP.
I am planning on getting a 3"THDP with a test pipe/cutout. But if I can get into the low 12's with the stock DP and a cutout, I might go that route untill I save up the money for the THDP. I guess I am asking at what point does the stock downpipe become a restriction.
Any oppinions?
