Ok, i just purchased a 2004r that is out of a MCSS. it was rebuilt, but after getting it home i noticed that the input shaft, that the torque converter goes on, looks like it is stripped. I have another BQ code trans in my garage i took out of an 84 GN, could i just change the shaft with that one, or is it rediculously difficult? other wise im going to have to load this think back up and drive it all the way back there and have him change it.
thanks,
Mike

you need to take off the pan, remove the filter and the lockup solenoid, and then remove the pump without damaging anything, and then take off the 3 torx screws that hold it in place and press it out, then reverse the procedure. but i would take it to a tranny shop unless youve had trannies apart before
