looks like a decent system if you dont mind using a laptop...any reviews of it ...does it work well. easy to learn?...compared to others?...what makes it better or worse than the others?... says it can also be used on other gm vehicles giving it more use other than the turbo 6's...any info for or against much appreciated...thanks...noah.

TL has been around for a long time, and it's proven.
Good:
It hooks up via the ALDL- easy to hookup.
Not so good:
You're limited to whatever the ALDL feed sends.
Speed of the data comingg from the ALDL is limited (about 10 frames/sec)
You may also want to look at this:

About the same price, and does a ton more.

When did the ALDL port go from 1.5 seconds per frame to 10frames/sec??????
When I fergot the deceemal point and reversed the frames/sec thingy....

Dave, still going with the MAFT Pro? I really want to go mafless, but the Pro is kind of replicating the Profec boost controller....you have a Gen II, correct? If so, how do you like it?

No, right now I have an older Translator +. I'm going to be getting a Translator Pro in this next batch being built. I'm going to start out slow by just plugging it in and using it as a normal Translator, and then the next step will be to go mafless (speed density), and when the budget allows, I'll throw a wideband O2 into the mix.
I already have a BstC (boost controller), so I don't need that function just yet, but will be adding a 3 bar map sensor so I can run mafless.
