Trying to determine how long I will have to wait for a part being shipped to me from BC. It was shipped via "canadapost", never heard of them. Anyone know?

Why your car smokes anyway hehehehe junk valve guides. I had to wait three weeks for some stuff.

Give me a call and we will do it all over AGAIN.

i know that i sent chips to a guy up there and it took forever, like a month. the guy thought i ripped him off. i think everything goes through customs or something like that.

Guys, after a zillion transactions between Canada & the US, here are my suggestions;
If you live near the Border, get an address on the other side and use it. This saves, broker fees, customs BS and all the red tape associated between our 2 'Free-Trade' [?] Countries.
If you're deep on the other side of the border, you wait and wait and wait some more for those guys to finish reading all out Car Craft subscriptions, finish the donuts, slip all the Swank's back into their 'Private' packaging:D and then...they go for lunch. After about 4 days of this utter horsecrap, they decide if what's in the box can be used on anything they own, or their buddies, then they call the broker, who starts his own paper trail, and fees. It is simply one of those things in life that completely makes absolutely ZERO sense to anybody.
Governments...they're there for our protection...right?
Jim

Oh crap. This guy is shipping this part via "canadapost". Is that good or bad? I was waiting on this part to put my car back together, but sounds like I might be waiting. I assume after it leaves customs or whatever it goes through our USPS? I gues I shoulda known it would take awhile when I tried to track it and all it will tell me is where its been. Its been "dropped off" about 6 days ago.

reply to "turbosam6"...

"turbosam6", just to let you know that "Canada Post" is Canada's postal service division that takes care of small parcel delivery. They are reliable, but slow....Don't worry, you'll eventually get your parts...When?...Ha!...That's the question!...
Other that that, they're ok....
'bye! Claude :)

I think US residents should be charged broker fees, disbursment fee, gst on the disbursment fee, gst on the broker fee, and then state taxes. So they will understand what we have to go through!

Well the part came in yesterday. Heres why: I figured it would take much longer after reading this thread, so I went ahead and put the car back together using the old parts so I could diagnose some other isssues. I got it all done, put tools up, and went inside to find my new part on the table! My g/f was home and signed for it and didn't tell me. I walked from my truck to the garage without going inside. I feel dumb!
