Ive been searching and all i can find is trans brake and shift kit applicatons. How many check balls are there supposed to be in all on a stock 2004r. I have 10. I found a diagram of where they are supposed to be in the Valve body but nothing on where in the tranny on the other side of the seperator plate. Any help would be great. I have an ATSG manual but its hurtin. Thanks.

There is a total of 12. There are 3 in the valvebody and 9 above the spacer plate in the case. One of the 9 is in a capsule pressed into the case near the intermediate servo. :)

Ok. So i need two more. Should the local tranny shop have these? I need to install the VB and spacer plate with balls all in one peice. I was told i can use vasaleen to hold the balls onto the spacer plate while i raise it up and get some bolts in. So i dont have to worry about the one in the capsul right?

Heres a pic of what i have so far. I need to know where to put the balls on the spacer plate. Thanks so much. The reason im doing this is teh jerk who had this car made the VB manual on a bone stock car. That may be the reason for the missing check balls. Thanks again.

There are 2 check balls that you really don't need. The T.V. exhaust check ball and the 4th accumulator check ball. It's easier to put the check balls in the case, holding them in with vasaline, than it is to put them on the plate.

Yea thats what i thought. Is there a diagram of them in the case anywhere? And how un-necessary are thoes two check balls? This is a bone stock car and ide like it to act as one. Thanks for all the help!!

Sent you a PM with a diagram of where the check balls go in the case on a stock setup. If you don't have the linkage for the T.V. exhaust ball, don't put that ball in.

I think i got this under control. If you mean TV linkage by the little bar, spring, and metal linkage that connects to the TV cable, then yes i have it. I'll take the ball from the tranny getting a stag right which eliminates teh rear ball in the VB. I found a diagram in my ATSG book and one of the plate in the stage right instructions. Heres some pics for others. Between the two i think i got it. Thanks alot. !!!!!!!
