Still run it on occasion. It's currently apart now - working on a wild new engine setup for our next outing - more power!

I have the 87 GN that i bought in 1996. It is the "fast car."
I also have the 87 GN that my Dad bought in Charlotte ,NC back in 1998. It needs a restoration and a new tranny. It has 125,000 miles on it. It is going to stay stock as stock can be. I want to drive it.

I was figuring how much it actually cost to drive one of these things once you start modifying them.

My first one an 87 Limited was just the basic mods to get it into the 12's.
Cost of car $6500.00
Cost of mods $1200.00
After that drive it till I sold it 20K miles later.
$.38/mile of fun plus gas and tires.

My second one is a 34K mile all original showroom condition 87 silver T.
Untouched and not driven very often.

My third one an 87 White Limted is an 11.22 @ 123 MPH (on the old motor, just put in the new motor & trans & turbo) car that I've been a partner to for 12 years and owned outright for 6 years and 8K miles.
Fortunately I only have $18,000 in it total the partner had spent the rest before I got it.
Cost of car $8000.00
Cost of mods $24,000.00 (3 engine configurations - 3 tranny rebuilds -
3 turbos - Only God knows what in misc pieces)
Have no idea what I've spent on tires and fuel.
$4.00/mile of fun plus gas and tires.

Yikes! If my wifey ever reads this post I'm (gonna have some splaining to do)
