Anybody ever put one on a scale? I searched and found only what I believe is the entire engine weighing in at 420lbs. Thanx.

I've bought a few long distance and had them shipped via UPS. UPS's limit is 150 and from my admittedly bad memory it seems like the last one, on a small wooden pallet was just under that, like 145 or so.

A bare block might be from 130 to 135. (But don't go betting the farm on these figures.)

This is from the Buick Powersource book

Production block 3.8l 112lbs Stage 1 129 Stage II 131

Production block 4.1l 110lbs Stage 1 129 Stage II 131

A heavy 109 is around 119lbs. Most are around 117lbs.

Thats funny

It just feels like 150 lbs when transporting from your house to the machine shop.:D

I just put a 4.1 in the back of the wifes trailblazer (man was she mad when she saw that) but 120 feels like 250 when ur tryin to be careful not to mess up her ride. I told her if she would let me buy an 06 GTO that I would happily put in there. She then informed me that I would be sleeping on the couch tonite!
