How much of a burnout to break in slicks?

I've never "broke in" a pair of slicks. I just use them as I normally would.

I don't know about slicks, but the ET Streets require a break-in burnout. I usually spin them for about 5-7seconds after I start to see smoke in my rearview mirror for the first 2 burnouts.

I would check M/T's site to see if the slicks needed a burnout to be broken in.

Slicks do not need to be "broken in." Your first burn out will remove the stickers no problem. The weight of the car on the tires will outweigh any possiblilities of the little nubs affecting your traction.

All slicks need to go through the burnout procedure at every pass to warm up the rubber to make them a little softer...and thus, stickier.
