How much oil in brand new D5 converter before installing

As per the title, just how much oil do I pour into the converter before installing it ... it's brand new. Then when I got it all installed I'll drain the fluid left in the transmission and put a new filter in there.

As per the title, just how much oil do I pour into the converter before installing it ... it's brand new. Then when I got it all installed I'll drain the fluid left in the transmission and put a new filter in there.

Put at least one quart of fluid in the converter before installing. After draining the pan refill with 6 quarts of new fluid, start the engine then keep adding until it reads at the low mark on the dipstick. Drive it until the trans gets warm then add fluid until full.
