That's a HUGE increase, my friend...
People make the mistake of thinking that bolting a TA49 on their 13.5 second car will make it run 11.5's. If it's only running 13.5's, DON'T buy a larger turbo. Make it run 12.5's or better with the stock turbo, then buy a larger turbo.
A maxed out stock turbo/injector car will run 12.0's@112. Bolting on a TA49 and larger injectors will result in .3-.4 seconds and 3-4 mph with no other changes. That is pretty big.
Hey UNGN, right now my best time is a 12.8 @ 104 mph. I have a stock turbo and injectors, Walbro 307 hot wired, afpr, adjustable waste gate rod, Hooker cat back exhaust, new valve springs, Scanmaster and boost gauge. This best time was with a Thrasher 108 and 21 lbs. of boost with a 1.8 sixty foot time on MT et's. What do I need to do to get into the low 12's? Thanks, Tim.
104 mph is a little low. Are you locking the converter? Did you get any knock? Did it shift into OD? Is the trans slipping? Is the turbo elbow ported?
To get more mph, run 28" tires, preferably radials, cool the intercooler to the touch before running, tune for zero knock, lock the TC, run in drive, get a big neck for the intercooler.
Get your mph to 110 and you will run 12.30's even with a 1.8 60 ft. Switching to a TA49 and larger injectors at that point will net 11.9-12.0's and 113-114 mph.
ran a 13.0 at 105 with stock turbo and exhaust,I did have some 868's in there but never noticed any difference in times or performance with them.I really feel I can get much better with right chip,tuning and better exhaust.I don't plan on getting a bigger turbo or injectors for a while.runs too good now.
