How much tranny fluid?

I dropped the pan and changed the filter. How much fluid should go back in? Also, im going to be changing the drive shaft in about a week. Should i leave the tranny fluid low or will it not even come out of the tranny when i pull the drive shaft off with the fluid filled? Thanks alot.

Typicaly you need about 4 qts of tranny fluid when you do a filter change but I'm not sure on a 200-R4. Just add one quart at a time and make sure the car is hot when you check it each time. As for the drive shaft, you shouldn't loose any fluid but if you do, it shouldn't be much.

put everything back, add 3 Q's start the car. let it warm-up them check. add as needed. that's it.
