I like em, tell you what though, don't use felpro 1000 HG, and make sure you use plenty of thread sealer on the studs/bolts what ever you use. Other than that I didn't have any trouble with thread stripping! Watch your pushrod length also.

You guys have got to be kidding. Trouble... with GN-1s would be an understatement. Do yourself a favor and run a search on GN-1 heads. Unless the posts have been deleated you should get your answer. The few drivers that get a set to work are extreeeemmmmly lucky.........

TA Heads

Honestly, I'd wait on the new TA heads, due very soon.

Lots of great folks have collaborated on the development of the TA heads, including Kenny Duttweiler.

Thankfully, at long last, a viable alternative to the others!

HTH :)

Ummmm, yup.

Yeah from what I've seen on this board and from talking to a couple of guys that use the Champion GN1 aluminum heads some have had problems with warping, cracking, leaking, etc. and it seems like some guys complain about the customer service of Champion.... I remember Neal Steward (750H.P.V6) mentioning his problems with Champion and the GN1's in a certain thread and it wasn't pretty  I have also heard some good about Champion and the GN1's from some guys on this board and a couple that I've talked to off the net that use them, so if I were you I would do some research and make up your mind cause opinions will definately vary on this topic.... BTW, does anybody know when the TA heads will be available?

My understanding was that there was a ton of problems with the first set of casting and with the 14 bolt heads. I thought that the 8 bolt heads with the newer castings were pretty good (I hope so anyway). I hoped that these would be the last set of heads I bought for the stock block. We'll see. First time at the track I will probably be a wreck worrying about breaking heads!!!
