how to adjust iac with tt chip in open loop

I would think the procedure is the same....

engine at operating temp.... idling.....
look at IAC's... if the are too high (above 30) tighten throttle blade screw.. to raise idle... and let stabilize..... IAC's should come down.... shoot for between 20-30 if I remember correctly....

Do the opposite of above if the values are too low....

Be sure and check/set TPS sensor when you get through.....

If you have problems getting them to set.... you might have a vacuum leak..... or a dirty IAC valve.....

Yeah that is what i did do but i was curious since ttype.org says to be sure ecm is in closed loop. Thanks for the reply.

IMO .... that is to make sure that the engine is hot enough to be stable... and that the idle has gone as low as the ECM is going to set it.

Iac

When adj Iac make sure you shut off the ignition after each turn, the Ecm only reads it once on start up! Check your Tps again and repeat as required. The screw adj should be out about 1.5 turns as a base line.
 
Eric replied back in his forum and said to just make sure it was warmed up then adjust as described in ttype.org
