well i punched it today and while in 2nd it was boosting i woudl guess around 15 PSI (stock boost gauge). anyways there is a kenne bell chip in it, i think there is a RJC power plate in there so coudl u guy give me some suggestions as to how to keep the KR at 0 when i boost that high. thanks
 
Even 93 octane will knock sometimes;go for Sunoco 94 if you can get it. Either that or use a lower timing chip. Alky is another option. The RJC plate is being given too much credit as a "cure-all" lately; it evens out cylinder distribution, that's all IMO. I have one and like it but the basics of tuning must still be followed.
 
The first thing you should do is get an aftermarket boost gauge. Then you will know exactly where your boost is at. Also, make sure your running good gas like 92 or higher. It may be false knock too so make sure everything is tight like the exhaust, motor mounts, ect....
 
Ditch the Kenne Belle chip for one with a little less timing if you are not going to turn the boost down
 
well down here i dont think that 93 pump gas is availible 92 is the highest ive seen here. anyways om gonna be swapping the KB for a thrasher 92 so hopefully that might help out a bit.
 
I just got rid of that KB chip and went to a thrasher 92 and all i have to say is WOW!!:D there is too much timming in those chips for 93 octane. I was getting 3-5 kr w/ 13psi boost and now i can run 19psi w/ same gas . Anti - theft comes second nature and puts ease to my mind.

Does anyone know where i can find a thrasher 92 for blue tops as i am having the same problem and no one responds when i try emailing thrasher or whom ever is burning there chips thanks John!
 
well in defense of the KB chip,I have to say that I have a thrasher 92 and it is a turd compared to my KB chip.It spools so slow and gives the same amount of kr at times.The KB just spools quicker and I don't have to run as much boost.I have a tsretch by my house that I can get up to sixty before having to turn down another road with the thrasher I can only get up to 50,It just spools that slow.I also get a funky idle and my int and blm numbers never move from 128 no matter what the fp adjustments are.with the thrasher also my scanmaster throws some wierd numbers.My o2cc numbers jump around and the car is just plain slower.BUt other than that I love the anti-theft feature.;)
